Phenomena Publishers

Concept: Phenomena Publishers is a book publishing company that is re-releasing some of the most beloved classics. At Phenomena they strive to make classic novels fresh and fun again for young adult readers. Everyone knows the saying, “Don’t judge a book by its cover”, but Phenomena Publishers believes the opposite. A book cover should appeal to readers and entice them to read the novel.

I decided to incorporate zentangle-style illustrations and fun hand lettered titles on each of the books in order to attract younger readers. The colors selected for each of the covers are significant or fitting for the novel in some way. For example, the Wizard of Oz is green because of the Emerald City in the novel.
